Destiny 2 Honored with Accessibility Award at 2023 Games for Change Festival

Accessibility at Bungie was on hand to accept the award


This year, Bungie and Destiny 2 were honored in person at the 20th Anniversary Games for Change Festival at the Times Center in New York City. Games for Change is the leading global advocate driving social impact and tackling real-world challenges through games and immersive media that supports a community of game developers, XR creators, educators, and others. Additional notable awards were presented at the ceremony, including the Vanguard Award honoring Grace Collins and the Giving Award honoring DrLupo. The Games for Change Accessibility Award honors a game or studio that has made substantial advancements in game accessibility to reach a more inclusive player base. The Accessibility at Bungie Inclusion Diversity & Equity Association has committed to proactively identifying and eliminating barriers to ensure Bungie’s games are playable by all. Through ongoing game updates, comprehensive resources, and in-depth documentation, Bungie has been working to include more accessibility options for more players each year.
